ℹ️ Ukrainian Ministry of Culture reports about 800 cultural heritage objects damaged by the occupiers. Most of them are places of worship. A collection of Scythian gold from the Melitopol Museum has been plundered. More than 2,000 unique objects have been looted from museums in Mariupol. In November 2022, the Kherson Art Museum lost almost 15,000 works – 80% of the museum’s collection.
ℹ️ Looted Ukrainian works of art find their way not only to Russian museums, but also begin to appear in private Russian galleries and on Russian sales portals. Our More Than Poland Foundation monitors such cases.
????In April, we are going to Kiev for meetings on helping to protect Ukrainian and Polish cultural heritage in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, the More Than Poland Foundation has been working to save works of art in Ukraine
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the More Than Poland Foundation has been involved in saving monuments from war damage. The project “We save Polish monuments in Ukraine” is financed by the ORLEN for Pomerania Foundation. Its main goal is to fight against the devastation of Polish cultural property and to protect works of art located in Ukraine.
We cordially invite you to cooperate – even the smallest amount is important.
