About us
The Więcej niż Polska [More than Poland] Foundation has existed since 2014. It was founded by art experts concerned about Polish national heritage lost during the war and occupation.
We are a team of investigators with many years of experience. We are passionate about history, art and monuments. By combining professional skills with philanthropic activity, we try and help save national heritage.
The main area of activity of our Foundation is the search for lost artwork around the world. We cooperate with art collectors, historians, museum experts, antique shops and non-governmental organizations.
Main goals and tasks:
Searching for and finding lost works of art that have been looted and taken away from Poland during times of war
Popularizing knowledge about the culture and history of Polish art
Promotion of Polish national heritage as an element of European cultural heritage
Protection of the recovered pieces
Nurturing Polishness and cultivating the national tradition – development of civic and cultural awareness
Supporting marketing events, and actively contributing to the protection of monuments
Fighting against the devastation of cultural heritage, in cooperation with other organizations or local governments
Training and teaching activity, strengthening the emotional ties of society with national heritage
Where do we operate?
Today, the Foundation operates largely outside Poland, actively seeking and recovering valuable pieces of art and at the same time promoting Polish culture and art, which is part of European cultural heritage.
We will welcome any support of our activity. Even the smallest amount can help save forgotten fragments of our past…
